Return to Eden Photography Newborn Session Packages:

*A 20% discount is available to clients who book within 24 hours of inquiry.

  • Newborn sessions are usually scheduled when baby is 7-14 days old. An additional fee will apply for sessions scheduled after baby is one month old.
  • The prices listed below are only valid for morning sessions. Weekend availability is limited to 1-2 mornings per month. An additional fee will apply for any sessions scheduled outside of normal hours.


Newborn Essentials - Studio: $400, Garden: $600
Includes 12 edited images

  • Studio: Baby alone in one prop and posing backdrop or baby alone in two props
  • Garden: Baby alone in two props
  • Includes 3 detail images of baby's facial features, e.g. eyelashes, nose, ears, lips.
  • Studio backdrop options: white brick walls or barnwood
  • Baby is fully wrapped for the entirety of the session.

Classic Newborn: $700 Studio, $900 Garden
Includes 20 edited images

  • Studio Options:
    1. Baby alone in two props and posing backdrop 
    or 
    2. Baby with immediate family + baby in one prop or posing backdrop
  • Garden Options:
    1. Baby alone in three props
    or 
    2. Baby with immediate family + baby in one prop
  • Includes 6 detail images of baby's features, e.g. eyelashes, hair, lips, nose, ears, fingers, toes.
  • Studio backdrop options: white brick walls, white curtain or barnwood
  • An additional fee will apply for newborns past one month old.


In Home:
*An additional fee applies for locations more than 15 miles away from the studio.
Lifestyle Essentials: $600
Includes 20 edited images of baby with immediate family, lifestyle posing (does not include any props or baby on fabric posing background)


Additional Upgrades - All Session Options:

  • Certain photos require merging multiple photos together in the editing process to safely achieve the desired end result, which is known as a composite photo. Any composite poses/props are subject to upgrade fees. Examples can be found here: Composites - Return to Eden Photography $50 each
  • Upgrade to include all available images: pricing will range between $250-$700 based on the number of photos & the extent of editing needed. For sessions where extensive retouching will be needed, smaller upgrade packages will also be available. An additional $250 fee applies if requesting the upgrade after the editing process has already begun.
  • Include proof image gallery for image selection: $50
  • Additional images a la carte: $40 each
  • Extensive retouching requests, such as body reshaping, etc.: Starting at $50 per image
  • Include a fantasy composite photo (moon, water setting, etc.): Starting at $200
  • Upgrade to family lifestyle photos in studio (on bed): $100


Here's what to expect for each option:
Props:
I have a variety of prop options in the studio for the photos of baby alone, ranging from buckets, baskets, wreaths, tiny doll beds, and more. Each prop will be styled with layers of fabrics and cushions, ensuring a cozy spot while your little one naps. I also have a large selection of wraps, bonnets, and newborn headbands. Please note, props that require multiple images composited for posing safety (such as chairs, swing, and hammock) require an additional editing fee. Part of your session planning process includes selecting which categories of props are your favorites, and the options include:

  • Buckets
  • Baskets
  • Wreaths
  • Vintage dresser drawer
  • Doll Beds
  • Fruit crate or flower crate
  • Tiny bathtub
  • Wooden Bowls
  • Wooden step stools
  • Vintage Wash Basin
  • Flower harvesting basket
  • Picnic basket
  • Small Moses style basket bed (best for preemies and smaller newborns)
  • Small white wicker baby carriage
  • Tiny wicker chairs (compositing fee applies)
  • Hammock (compositing fee applies)
  • Wooden swing (compositing fee applies)

Essentials - Up to 1.5 hour
Classic - Up to 2.5 hours

Scheduling:
My newborn sessions usually take place when baby is between 10-14 days old. If scheduling after baby is already born, bookings will be taken until baby is one month old If scheduling after baby is already born, bookings will be taken until baby is one month old. Sleeping photos are not guaranteed, especially for older newborns.

Availability:
Newborn sessions are only scheduled on weekday mornings. Garden sessions are usually scheduled to start within an hour to an hour and a half after sunrise, which varies based on the time of year.

Wardrobe:
I provide all wardrobe options for baby during the newborn session. Most of the photos will have baby in a variety of swaddle wraps. Bonnets and headbands are also available for use with studio/garden sessions. I do have a few wardrobe options available for family newborn sessions, but it is nowhere near as extensive of a collection as what I have available for the baby. I highly recommend that family members come dressed and ready for photos, especially if including toddlers in the session. Wardrobe guidance is also included as part of the session planning process.

Location:
I am located in Harbor Pines, CA which is just between San Pedro and Lomita.

Image selection/editing:
After the photo session is complete, I will select the best images from your session, providing as much variety as possible to complete the promised number of finished images for your selected session package. From there, I will edit and retouch the selected images and provide them in a download gallery once they are complete. Images are usually ready for download within two weeks. If you would prefer to make the finished selections yourself, an additional $50 proof gallery fee will apply, and an additional week should be calculated into your total turnaround time (excluding the time it takes for you to select the images).

*Please note: As a photographer, posting updated work on my website and occasionally on social media is how new clients find me. The prices listed above are only valid when clients agree to all of the terms of the standard contract, which includes permission for me to use the images online and for marketing purposes. If you wish to keep the photos private, the price for each session option increases and a backup of the photos will not be kept on my end once they are delivered.

  • A little bit about my background: After working in the fashion industry for several years, I started my business back in 2011 and trained in-person with some of the world's most renowned newborn photographers, focusing on safety. My studio is a private little cottage located next to my house. I have spent a lot of time customizing the space to create a unique environment for my sessions. The garden has a variety of options too, all of which I designed specifically for newborn sessions.
  • Every newborn photo is hand-edited using my signature 8-10 step retouching process, ensuring a natural-looking and polished end result.
